Power of Matcha

Imagine choosing between a regular cup of green tea and one packed with 137 times more antioxidants and over 10 times the nutrients. Which would you go for? For me, it’s always the latter—Matcha Green Tea.

Matcha is a powdered form of green tea made from shade-grown leaves, which boosts its chlorophyll content and gives it that striking green hue. Unlike traditional green tea, where you steep and toss the leaves, matcha allows you to consume the entire leaf, maximizing its health benefits.

A key ingredient in matcha is L-theanine, an amino acid known for its calming effects, which complements the caffeine to create a balanced, focused energy. This unique combination helps increase alpha brain waves, promoting a relaxed but alert state without the typical caffeine jitters.

But matcha isn’t just for drinking. Its distinctive flavor—a mix of earthy bitterness and subtle sweetness—makes it a versatile addition to both sweet and savory recipes. Additionally, matcha is a powerhouse for skincare, with antioxidants that fight free radicals and anti-inflammatory properties that soothe sensitive or acne-prone skin.

**Matcha Chia Pudding**

- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk you prefer)

- 2 tbsp chia seeds

- 1 tsp matcha powder

- 1 tbsp honey or your sweetener of choice

- Fresh fruit, nuts, or coconut flakes for topping (optional)

**Instructions:**

1. Start by whisking the matcha with a small amount of almond milk to form a smooth paste.

2. Combine the rest of the almond milk with the chia seeds, honey, and vanilla. Stir thoroughly.

3. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, stirring periodically during the first 20 minutes.

4. Once set, serve with your favorite toppings.

**Matcha Face Mask**

**Ingredients:**

- 1 tsp matcha powder

- 1 tsp honey (preferably raw)

- 1 tsp plain yogurt or aloe vera gel (for sensitive skin)

- A few drops of rose water or green tea (optional)

**Instructions:**

1. In a small bowl, mix matcha powder with honey.

2. Add yogurt or aloe vera gel and stir until smooth.

3. Optional: Add a few drops of rose water or green tea to boost hydration.

4. Apply the mixture evenly to your face, avoiding the eyes, and leave on for 15-20 minutes.

5. Rinse with lukewarm water, gently massaging to exfoliate.

6. Finish with your favorite moisturizer to seal in the benefits—our Moringa Face Oil pairs perfectly.

Whether in your cup, your meal, or your skincare routine, matcha offers a vibrant, health-boosting experience.
